Rapper Chief Keef's Appearance; Los Angeles Police Distracted?

He was able to perform one song when the police stormed the stage and declared the end of the staging. Rapper, Chief Keef’s appearance was only on a hologram not really the rapper at presence. Chief Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, is originally from Chicago but has opted not to return to the Midwest, due to several outstanding warrants in Illinois.

The rapper’s image was beamed into the concert by Los Angeles-based company Hologram USA where he was performing as part of a benefit for a friend and fellow rapper Melvin Carr, who was killed on July 11 in Chicago. 13-month old Dillan Harris was also killed in the incident by a vehicle fleeing the scene.

Hologram USA CEO Alki David was furious at the news the show had been shut down. He solely larmented by shaming the Mayor and the chief police Hammond saying:

“Shame on the mayor and police chief of Hammond for shutting down a voice that can create positive change in a community in desperate need. And for taking away money that could have gone to help the victims’ families,” David said in a statement. “This was a legal event and there was no justification to shut it down besides your glaring disregard for the first amendment right to free speech.”
