TRUCK LOADED WITH 3,600 BALLOT BOXES AND BALLOT PAPERS SIEZED BY SOLDIERS.

Soldiers  called OP MESSA attached to 35 Artillery brigade , Alamala in Ogun state has intercepted a full load of truck containing 3,600 ballot boxes with ballot papers early yesterday at odogbolu axis of shagamu-Ijebu ode express way. The soldiers handed over the trucks to police which was officially taken to special police investigation department. However sources told us that two other trucks escaped the scene which was filled with ballot boxes and ballot papers. Ogun state public relation officer said that he was only aware of the one truck which was intercepted. The officer further made it known that the items belongs to INEC and that they are to come and clear themselves about the authenticity of the items. And if no one appears, then the items will be seen as faked. But, the question now is, HOW CAN THE POLICE KNOW THAT INEC IS THE SOLE OWNER WITHOUT PROPER INVESTIGATION, ASSUMING WE ONLY DEPENDS ON THEM COMING TO CLAIM IT AS OUR ONLY EVIDENCE.?
