A plane operated by Germanwings in France crashed
today in a remote part of the French Alps.
The first images of the crash site emerged hours after the crash, which took place in a remote part of the French Alps.The rescue workers were urged to vacate as night approaches during the rescue operation.
According to a French Interior Ministry spokesperson, bodies
and debris will be brought down from the crash site Wednesday morning. French president Francois Hollande, has already made it known that, apparently there is no survivor. The passenger jet, an Airbus A320, crashed near the town of Digne as it traveled from Barcelona to Dusseldorf, Hollande said.
The plane was carrying 144 passengers -- including 2 babies -- and six
crew members, Germanwings CEO Thomas Winkelmann said at a news
conference today. May there souls rest in peace.
