Due to the fall in the value of naira, the cost of acquiring the pr-paid electric meter have risen. The single-phased meter sold
at N25,000 is now at the rate of N39,375 and the three-phased meter normally at the rate of N50,000 goes for N60,909. It is likely that the devaluation of naira is affecting every aspect of importation as Nigeria country do not engage in any manufacturing of any kind. So, the issue of price hike of commodities is likely to continue fro a long time.
