WHO IS BUHARI, A NIGERIAN PRESIDENT OR NOTHERN PRESIDENT?

The home of the new president elect Buhari have been turned into a mini Aso rock. Since the end of the presidential election on 28 of march which saw him as the winner, many big wigs have been swarming seriously into the residential home of the president elect in search of one favor or the other. Among whom are the Borno state governor and the shameless ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo if i'm to address him like that. But, the critical question now is, is Buhari a Nigerian president elect or for his region north. From all indications it seems that the man Buhari may have nothing to do with other tribes when assumes office. Then what is the faith of the south easterners and the southerners. Because, only the majority of the north and few of the west like the all round Obasanjo have been patronizing his residence which have been already turned into mini-Aso rock recently. With the visit of the Borno governor, Kashim Shettima many issues patterning the North alone were discussed and Buhari went to the extent of laying more emphasis on how the problem of the North where he is coming from is a major priority to him not even the problems of the whole nation. Buhari gave an insight to what he meant when he said that, his administration would accord priority to ending the Boko Haram insurgency, with a view to bringing stability to the state in particular, and the North in general.
This is even as he revealed that he would also focus on re-activating the Lake Chad in addition to deploying enormous resources to resume vigorous search for oil along the Chad Basin in parts of Borno State.
He said he was very much aware of the problems confronting the North and as such, would waste no time in taking them up one after the other.
He further said that stability of the North- East zone, was “a must project” for his administration, insisting that nothing meaningful could be achieved without focusing entirely on the Northerners, then what happens to other Nigerians? should be our question before even the inauguration day.
