Amidst the beleive that no one will be able to mount the leadership of the oil sector due to deep-rooted corruption in that sector, Buhari is said to be proposing to take the position as a president and oil minister.
According to our source, this was made some how open by close associates of Buhari on tuesday. One long standing associates of Buhari was quoted to have made the statement saying; Nigeria’s oil sector was so dirty that nobody’s hands were clean enough to do the “surgical changes” needed. also another political associate was quotes as saying, “He will do it. It would be stupid to give that position to anyone else.” Though, the two anonymous associates made it clear that Buhari have not yet declared his interest open. Buhari who laughed over the speculations by the media that the ministerial lists of nominees presently paraded by the media is coming from him, jokingly drive the statement home when he said that; “They have picked my ministers for me! Have I even told you who I want?” The issue is not picking the ministers for Buhari, either nominated by Buhari or by false media speculations, all Nigerians want is practical change. And APC should not forget that we Nigerians are mindful of their promises during and after campaign.
