In December 2013 when President Salva Kiir accused his former deputy Riek Machar of planning a coup,south sudan since then has been an obscene environment to tour about. Since then there has been unstopped warring factions between ethnic groups which had led to killings across the country that has split the poverty-stricken, landlocked country along ethnic lines.
"Survivors report that boys have
been castrated and left to bleed to death... girls as young as eight
have been gang raped and murdered," UN children's agency chief Anthony
Lake said in a statement released earlier this week.
"Children have been tied together before their attackers slit their throats... others have been thrown into burning buildings." Tens of thousands of children have died in the 18 months war and, it is believed that many were recently killed targeting children alone. As you can see in the pictures above, dejected children are finding it difficult to scavenge for what to eat. They go about in the desert uprooting herbs and left over from the devastation of the war in order to make ends meet. The intense situation is that, the kids migrates miles away in search of food as you can see the skeletal-made children running towards were they perceived the existence of food items. The United Nations should help put a stop to this unbearable child abuse going on in south sudan. African Rulers; should we question their possessive tendency in governance or their evil minded mentality towards their fellow poor-rooted African politicians in the expense of the masses? God forbid unnoticed evil as practiced by the African sit-tight Rulers.
