President of federal republic of Nigeria will leave Abuja today for Yaounde, Cameroun to continue consultative talks with President Paul Biya and senior government officials in an ongoing effort to cob the incessant destruction of lives and properties by the Boko Haram sect.
The talk about this trip, will base on the Multinational Joint Task Force (MJTF) against Boko Haram, which was established under the auspices of the Lake Chad Basin Commission. Buhari will be accompanied on the two-day trip by six state governors as well as the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Defence and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency.
On the president’s entourage are Alhaji Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa Mr. Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom, Mr. Samuel Ortom of Benue, Alhaji Kashim Shettima of Borno, Mr. Ben Ayade of Cross River and Mr. Darius Ishaku of Taraba.
The president, who is due back in Abuja tomorrow, will undertake a day trip to Benin Republic on Saturday for talks with President Boni Yayi to round off diplomatic shuttles to neighboring countries, on insurgencies and porous border protection.
