After days of in-fighting, and what may be called a far-fetched political ideology in the House Of Representatives, Speaker, Hon Yakubu Dogara, finally buckled up yesterday and named Hon Femi Gbajabiamila as the Majority Leader of the Lower Chamber.
The development was before a sharp contrast to Dogara’s earlier stand that the position must go to the North-West to accommodate the federal character principle in the sharing of principal offices. But, a day after the president Mohammadu Buhari met with the House caucus of All Progressives Congress (APC), the resolution to appoint Gbajabiamila as the Majority Leader of the Lower Chamber was reached.
“The President is the game changer,” Chairman, House Ad hoc Committee on Media, Hon Sani Zorro, said.
