(TOURISM IN NIGERA):--- Nigerian police and the civil defence; The 'Ogbu Agu' Of Our Time.

By Debo9ja.
Please, humble readers, permit me to sound comic here because, this is a case of ignoramus recruiting some ignorant s to take charge of some sectors in this country. Last time,
Cecil was shot by a European expatriate who deliberately out of envy and neglect shot Cecil with some locals in the same area of origin with Cecil who doesn't know the importance of that lion to Africa. Recently in Jos, the only Lion remaining in Nigeria within the low moutains of the Jos plateu was shot and killed by the police and the civil defence. who now posses as 'ogbu agu'(THE KILLER OF LION).
I don't know whether we should anticipate going back to our old way of title-ship by giving them that name; OGBU AGU of our time. Even though they don't merit it. Anyway, that was out of being an ignoramus.
Reason given for killing this only lion is that, the Lion escaped from the reserved area. Yes!, it escaped truly, but what happened to the environment that made the Lion to escape? Had it been that the tourism sector officials don't always swallow the money when it comes across them, will the Lion be able to escape when well secluded? You see! this is the problem of corruption-ridden society like the so-called Nigeria. Even when the Lion managed to escape, what happened to tranquillizer? this could be used to put the lion to sleep for a while then, capture it and re-introduce into the reserve. But, due to the level of degradation in this Nigeria even, common things can't be fixed. For a country who even imports tooth picks, what happens to such vocabulary material like tranquillizer, the minister can even use the heaviness of that material's name as a corrupt means to loot if given the opportunity.
Due to this ugly and stupid behavior,  Ikechi Uko One of Africa’s revered promoters of tourism, has condemned the killing. He larments as thus:

“That lion is the only lion in the once popular Jos wildlife park. The lion escaped some days ago from the badly managed park and was executed by Nigerian police and civil defence operatives. Now these guys are celebrating their feat of killing a lion but for me it’s a huge loss. I feel a connection to the dead lion. Slowly we are officially wiping away the small tourism gains we all fought for over the years. Nigerian tourism is in reversal right now. Too bad,” Mr. Uko said.
