PRESIDENT BUHARI CLAIMS TO HAVE RECOVERED $10.3 BILLION STOLEN MONEY.

Information reaching us from the government desk in Nigeria here, president Buhari claimed he recovered about $10.3 billion stolen money stocked in foreign countries. These money was stolen by Nigerian politicians in the expense of the poor people and most of it stocked in Switzerland.

Information Minister Lai Mohammed says the government also expects repatriation of some $330 million stolen from the public treasury. But, the statement from the information minister do not include the name of the thieves, though he promised that government will publish the name of the looters latter.

He said the funds include $583.5 million recovered in cash and $9.7 billion in cash and assets under interim forfeiture including sea-going vessels, buildings and land.

You could recall that so many arrest has been made, with that of the former national security adviser ongoing now, where he is accused of diverting $2.1 billion meant to fight the Boko Haram Islamic insurgency.
