Sports: Adamu BACKS KALU FOR FIFA PRESIDENT.

The formal FIFA executive member Dr Amos Adamu, has reiterated his backing for Orjiuzo Kalu on his journey towards becoming the FIFA president. He made this known on friday night.

Speaking on a magazine programme on Channels Television, Dr. Adamu said that, he is sure that Kalu is the needed person for the change required in that body as it stands now. He further stated that, he have made a careful review of the politics in FIFA, and is sure that Dr. Kalu can make the difference that FIFA needs now given the messy deals that has enveloped the soccer body.

While he made it known to the public that Segun Odegbami, has his own carrier to pursue as a Nigerian and an African, but he, as a member of the FIFA body believed in Kalu's supremacy and his records for years. Making it plane that, he is blunt in supporting Kalu because, he is a force to recon with.

On his supportive statement, he aired his view as thus:
“Odegbami is a Nigerian and is free to throw his hat in the ring but I am backing Kalu all the way because he has the where­withall for the job. Business wise, he has also got the clout and I don’t see anything wrong in a Nigerian heading FIFA. He is eminently qualified for the job, “ Adamu stated.
