20 PEOPLE DIED AT A COMMUNITY IN RIVERS STATE DUE TO CHOLERA OUT-BREAK.

The out break of cholera in rivers state has claimed up to20 lives in a community called Andoni local government area. Though, 171 cases is recorded so far. This was disclosed by the state commission for health Dr sampson Parker. Parker further stated that the local government and state respond teams responded swiftly.
Two treatment centres in Ebukuma and Okoli’ile had been estab­lished as stated by the commissioner, to handle reported cases, advis­ing affected persons to access the facilities.
Parker urged members of the public to remain calm, as situation was under control, adding that steps had been taken to provide potable wa­ter in the affected communi­ties.
