I INHERITED ENORMOUS CHALLENGES said Buhari.

The new Nigerian president Buhari pledged to tackle the economic shackles of Nigeria head-on during his inauguration on friday 29 May 2015. He declared that his administration will intensify the fight against Boko Haram insurgency. The 72 year old who took charge of the Africa's most populated country said that, 'he inherited a devastated country with economic turmoil and widespread unrest. 
 "We are going to tackle them head on... Nigerians will not regret that they have entrusted national responsibility to us," he said before supporters, dignitaries and heads of state in Abuja.
Without mincing words he went further to throw more light on the economic situation of the country, making it clear for every Nigerian present at the Abuja square and people listening through various media. He piteously made his statement as thus; 
"With depleted foreign reserves, falling oil prices, leakages and debts, the Nigerian economy is in deep trouble and will require careful management to bring it round," the president said. He angrily disclosed the poor situation of power supply in the Africa's most oil producing state pointing out that, Nigeria witness the worst dis encouraging power supply which ranges from not having light for almost weeks and some times months. "We will not allow this to go on," Buhari concluded.
