GAY MARRIAGE LEGALIZED IN IRELAND

This traditionally catholic nation on Saturday witnessed a landslide victory over the restriction of gay people in that country. Finally, Ireland has legalized same sex practices. This seems to be a new Ireland according to some gay supporters, which made most of them say, that they are proud of really being gay. The prime minister Enda Kenny is a typical example of this when he publicly expressed his mind thus; "With today's vote we have disclosed who we are: a generous, compassionate, bold and joyful people," Friday's referendum saw 62.1 percent of Irish voters saying "yes" to changing the nation's constitution to allow gay marriage. Outside Dublin Castle, watching the results announcement in the castle's cobblestoned courtyard, thousands of gay rights activists cheered, hugged and cried at the news.
