Yekini visited the mother of the baby in the afternoon time. The abductor, on arriving was very promising that no one could suspect she could do such a thing. Mariam, the mother of the 17 days old baby welcomed her though she do not know her within the community but, Yekini claimed she knew Mariam where she worked as shop attendant.
After a while, the abductor promised to buy some cloths for the baby which she immediately convinced and equally confused the nursing mother that she will like to buy the cloths immediately for the baby. They left for the market but, befrore then, Yekini requested to carry the baby which the baby's mother aggreed and Yekini strapped the baby at her back and they left. On crossing some of the neighbors in their house most of them was asking Mariam why she did not carry her baby by herself but, she told them that the carrier is her aunty.
On reaching the market, Mariam selected some cloths for the baby which the abductor paid for the cloths as promised. But, as the devil may be on his work most times, now is the time to execute her mission. The abductor Yekini, now told the mother that, she should Waite for her to pick up some money from a stall at the other end, as Mariam was waiting for too long that she could not bear, she decided to search for her baby carrier which she immediately discovered that the woman is no where to be found. she raised an alarm and fainted but was revived and taken home.
As God always work wonders, the abductor got traumatized by the innocent nature of the 17 days old baby and decided to return the baby back, that was when she was caught by a cyclist who saw her when she was about to drop the baby on the road side where she stocked the baby in a carton. The cyclist raised an alrm and Yekini was apprehended.
Righyt now the baby is well and sound and have been reconnected to the parents.
On asking the baby's mother, she thanked every body and solicited that the police should treat the case judiciously and punish the abductor.
